Haley von Katz (b. 1999) is a largely self-taught visual artist based in Honolulu, Hawai’i. Haley’s work often reflects her own search for identity, expressing the emotions that accompany that journey through the interplay of light and color on the human body.

Native to a small town outside of Houston, Texas, Katz grew up around strong religious and conservative values. She now seeks to dismantle the patriarchal and religious influence on the way we view sex and nudity as a society. As a call-out to her roots, Haley often explores themes of empowerment in her work, creating powerful, entity-like Goddesses.

Haley is influenced by the colors of modern abstract artists and the expressive and dramatic characteristics of the Baroque era of art. Combining these influences with her sacred Goddess figures, Katz captures the viewer in a highly emotive and futuristic experience of awe, beauty and depth. She uses her art to celebrate the female form and encourage others to embrace themselves and their identities in full.

Haley is a painter, but also assumes the role of creative director on other creative projects.
